Tampa Bay Golf Club

Cheval Golf and Country Club is a hidden gem that many Floridians do not know about. This golf club in Tampa is one of the most challenging but rewarding courses because it is not only difficult, it will reward you with scenic views and make you in touch with nature here on the gulf coast.

Our Tampa Bay golf course has 4 sets of tees that will challenge all skill levels on this par 72 layout featuring 5 par fives and 5 par threes! Steve Smythers designed this beautifully maintained course as it intertwines throughout the wildlife as well as the Cheval Developments gated community. We have large elevated tees that let you see out the optimal landing areas as well as elevated hand mowed greens. Cheval is not your typical Tampa Bay golf club as the terrain here is much different. There are many elevation changes as well as water on 17 of our 18 beautiful holes.The golf course underwent an extensive renovation in 2008, including new Champions Bermuda greens and completely renovated bunkers.

Cheval Golf and Country Club hosts special events throughout the year for Members and Guests including the New Year's Eve Gala, Member Holiday Party, Santa Brunch, Easter Egg Hunt, Key West Party, Memorial Day Cookout, 4th of July Pool Party, Woodstock Anniversary Party,  and Thanksgiving Dinner.

Tennis Club

An exquisite freestanding tennis and fitness complex is  located away from the golf clubhouse at our nearby Cheval Athletic Club.  Cheval is home to nine superbly conditioned Har-Tru tennis courts (seven lighted) including a grandstand stadium court with tiered seating. All courts have ample cold water and nearby available shade. Members of our courteous and professional pro shop staff are USPTA certified and anxious to assist you with all your needs and requests. The program also offers overnight stringing, re gripping and other racket services.

Cheval is also the host of a $25,000 WTA Event, as well as numerous sanctioned adult and junior events (State, Sectional and National levels).
